Aliyah had some personal issues that affected her health and personality, and made it easier for Kamal to believe the lies he was told, and made his rejection even more than devastating. I also loved that Aliyah was stiff in her own correct, and was an incredible queen and this was realized fully by Kamal and those around her. The commencement scene betwixt Aliyah and Kamal was great. She didn't plow into a brawl of mush because of his awesome masculinity. She told him off and didn't dorsum downward from his imperious mode. Bravo, I was thinking. At the same fourth dimension, she fabricated a choice to ally a man she thought she hated for the practiced of her state and his. That took some bravery and emotional strength.
Every bit characteristic of Ms. Gates' novels, the writing is deeply involving and emotional as you see and experience the dear and anguish that her characters experience. There are as well bright descriptions of Judar and its customs and the cute surroundings that its characters inhabit. The wedding anniversary is one of the all-time I've ever read. Information technology practically played like a scene from an exotic movie. The love scenes are scorching and passionate as well. If you are a fan of sheikh romances and want to read a romance with 3-dimensional characters who take an emotional journey from desolation and loneliness to a deep, constant love, you should read this book.

The hero, Kamal, is 1 of the cruelest characters I've read. The things said out of vengeance to Aliyah, the heroine, were down right spiteful. I hated him for at least half the book. However, when Kamal finally learns and accepts the truth about what happened years agone, and how his ain behavior played a role in the situation, he is appalled with himself. I've never read a more contrite graphic symbol.
The simply thing that stopped me from giving this book 5 stars was the Heroine. Although Aliyah is an admirable and likable character, she was a bit likewise snarky and tenacious for my tastes. I also wished for a few more tender moments betwixt the couple. To assistance offset the predominantly contentious experience of the volume. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

Kamal Aal Massood & Aliyah Morgan
This is the third and final book in the Throne of Judar Trilogy.
This is the story of Kamal and Aliyah. This story will keep y'all in suspense from beginning to terminate. Unlike his brothers Kamal was a man referred to in the region every bit out of command. Kamal and Aliyah have a history. At the betoken of the story they don't fifty-fifty like each other. Passion will make these two forget the by and the future will take care of itself. Years earlier these two star crossed lovers parted in hatred for each other. Kamal when he sees Aliyah again he withal feels the connectedness. He will ally her and he volition save Judar. Aliyah has no intention of going meekly to the marriage bed.
Their wedding is similar a scene out of The Arabian Nights. No one has always witnessed a ceremony like this one. It is a wedding for the ages. These ii volatile individuals go to flames throughout their relationship. Neither ane wants to back down, they both want to win. In the cease they discover out that what they have is never ending.
Kamal finds that the feelings he had before for Aliyah is nothing to how he feels here and at present. At start he tin can't believe the brothers he thought were the nearly in command amongst men were tamed past a adult female. He now understands why his brothers abdicated for their love of Carmen and Farah.
Much of the problems of the past come to fruition and it doesn't matter who relinquishes the power struggle within them. In the end all that matters is that they have each other. Dear will conquer all.
Their story is about the forgiveness and starting over. In the end no amount of wealth or power matters without love. They know that honey is never easy but that when it works its all that matters.
A MUST read.

One can bound from the first 1-two chapters to the last two and not lose much of the story. All that wedding preparations, details and woman bonding merely made me skim, skim to get to the juicy part below it all – the h/H and how they'll deal with each other mail the hymeneals. The sudden conflagration of the wedding nighttime was understandable (and I loved the consummation drumming thing!) but and then the story just floated around, non giving us fourth dimension frames, real conversations or actual emotions/thoughts - that foggy treatment which is so abrasive!
The scorching malaise promised by the author never actually materializes - unless you count the past and
a half-dozen'6" alpha male doing a weepy grovel as 'nuff malaise. *blench*
The reason and catalyst backside that brutal severing of their relationship in the past was made out as if someone deliberately set out to toxicant him against her- a royal enemy or conspiracy. So when the actual person gets revealed and the style it happened made the H await weak and tstl imo.
There are hints that she begged and plagued him to have her dorsum after the dumping but I'yard non completely sure. So many things are hinted and whipped up but never given a solid shape.
Her personality bug and medical drug abuse are also treated in a very perfunctory and unsatisfactory way.
The manner 'Khol'e' and 'oaths of divorce' are mentioned so casually was brow raising. Divorce in Muslim/Asian societies and western world cannot be used interchangeably or fifty-fifty synonymously at times. Even mere utterances of these words can exist binding, morally and legally in some muslim societies. That'southward the reason I don't quite enjoy reading these Sheikh stories as they sometimes badger on factuality. Unintentional I'grand sure but there you take it.

OTT, lush, and romantic in the one-time style where passions overwhelm etc and then forth. Honestly, sometimes when I read Olivia Gates I take to look abroad every bit her characters are so overwhelming emotional and wrought with angst I feel like I'k intruding, and THEY ARE FICTIONAL!Same thing here, but I was disappointed this fourth dimension. The hero, Kamal, is SO in over his head in lust and soul-binding honey with the heroine. Unfortunately, he bought into the idea that not simply was she on drugs but was a slut of the highest lodge. He literally destroys her when he leaves her. That's simply the prologue.
The story picks upwards where they have to marry or the streets volition run with blood in the imaginary kingdom of sheikdom. As usual the wedding ceremony is and so over the top, and, wowza, the wedding night and wedding morning and wedding side by side afternoon are every bit OTT. Kamal slowly grows a brain and thinks that 1000-a-y-b-east he was a little hasty in his assumption that the h bedded the western world.
Once he finds out he is writhing (the discussion writhing is used a lot) in shame and hurting and self-disgust, and all I could call up was Yippee we have a grovel coming on! (view spoiler)[Okay, he grovels and she simply rolls over! This chick has given him red hot heck all along, and at present that he apologizes for ruining her life, drove her to contemplate suicide, she's, "Oh, that's okay!" (hide spoiler)]
There is, of course, more malaise, only personally it'southward a good thing their jobs are hereditary as while both are beautiful and sexy they are seriously lacking in brain cells. Marital advice: double check your assumptions before leaping to your decease.

It's hard for me to rate this. I gave it four stars the first time effectually but the 2d I just don't know. I couldn't tell if he was celibate for one thing, and that is a definite trigger for me, and he was merely so vicious to her when he broke upwards with her. I hated that he misjudged her so bad.Information technology was interesting considering she was addicted to prescription drugs because she had been diagnosed with ADHD and they pretty much made her a zombie. He thought she was just an addict. He likewise thought she was a slut, and she wasn't. She had only been with him. He took her virginity and he didn't fifty-fifty know it. This book was very passionate, hot and steamy. I am non going to lie. The scene on the wedding ceremony night where he opens the roof is unbelievable. I actually like the nuptials and the sword fight, the drums, the wedding gown, the dowry presentation, everything except for the hero. Did he grovel, kind of. She forgave him of course. She almost lost her listen when he left and for ii years she was suicidal and anorexic. He was doing hell knows what. I just wish he had been celibate while apart. And then I would have loved it.
I am leaving the four stars for now only I may have to think a fiddling bit about it. As Preeti says – vague. Oh, the descriptions of the wedding and induction ceremony were detailed and exhaustive. Aforementioned with the apparel and interiors. Merely characterization, motivations, timeline of the backstory were vague.Heroine had a misdiagnosis of ADHD as a child and got fond to the drugs so she gave them up cold turkey making her unstable. Seven years afterward, by a series of twists and turns, hero is going to be king and must marry heroine to stop a civil state of war.
The H/h hold to ally, but torture each other with banter, a black hymeneals dress, and lots of sex.
After a few weeks of marriage, the hero has 2nd thoughts nearly his view of the proficient onetime days and discovers the heroine's "friend" lied to him near heroine's promiscuity and drug addiction.
Hero's lamentable. She's deplorable (and pregnant) for an HEA.
The hero in this one had little personality beyond tough guy/sexual athlete. Heroine's drug habit and instability didn't brand a lot of sense. There are a lot of ways to wean someone off the wrong meds without the horrible side effects she suffered. She was a runway model and then an artist, but I never got a sense of her grapheme.
If you're in the mood for a pageant or just want to see how the series ends, then this is the story for you.

Fantastic. Overwhelming. Unforgettable. And all THAT could just describe the wedding scene and wedding night. I mean, that sword duel between Kamal and Aliyah in their wedding was Amazing! Y'all should read the book for these parts solitary.Only and then the rest of the book is as incredible. Kamal and Aliyah have a heartbreaking past, and they are both powerful, amazing people who have to ally their worst enemy, each other, to save their kingdoms, Judar and Zohayd. The way they notice their way back to each other is sheer storytelling brilliance. Non to mention how the author handled the very sensitive subject area of prescription drug addiction that Aliyah suffered from, without whatever fault of her own, and how difficult and long she'd fought to beat it, to become the magnificent woman who held that lion desert of a man'due south center in her hand.

Kamal might be the babe of the family just he's taller and darker and angrier than both his brothers. We've seen a petty of that dark side in the earlier books but now faced with his demons we get the full treatment.
The breakdown with Aliyah seven years ago marked both their lives drastically. The ruination of his young dearest affair and the disillusionment involved turned Kamal's life into a dour desert far more than dangerous than the deserts of his home state.
For Aliyah, Kamal's abandonment almost destroyed her fragile sanity, only just recovering from a childhood dependency on misdiagnosed prescription drugs. Having rebuilt her life and recreated herself equally a successful artist, the worst thing to happen was Kamal's re-emergence into her life.
The marriage is required to maintain stability in the region and would be a temporary arrangement to provide an heir.
Until things explode between the ii of them on their wedding night. . So were was I?
Oh yes. Aliyah is certainly no chump and fights every inch of the way but the pair of them play off each other brilliantly with wit and humour showing that the explosive chemical science isn't just in the bedroom. All that needs to happen is for them to get over the mistakes of the past to find a brilliant future. If they don't make too many mistakes in the nowadays.
Olivia manages to pull the most angsty tear jerking moments out of the hat for these guys. I just dear to see a strong man weep and Olivia doesn't mind making her men work for redemption. Of the 3 brothers Kamal has the most to regret and he pays for it. IN the most satisfying possible way.
Being the final we get a dainty piffling epilogue to tidy upwards all 3 families and perhaps a hint of something to come in another series.
Well done Olivia. ...more
Now I was super excited for this book considering I had heard almost their "epic beloved story" in the Pride of Zohyad series- so this started with great expectations.

In this terminal installment of the Throne of Judar trilogy, Olivia Gates pulls out all the stops. Kamal's 2 older brothers have found the loves of their lives and abdicated the throne. They had an thing 7 years agone, and it ended in disaster.Kamal is a potent, commanding alpha male who made his fortune outside the royal circles he was raised in. During a business trip to L.A., he met and fell in love with Aliyah, ignoring her reputation and the advice of his counselors. Revelations about her he discovered made cloy and disillusionment overshadow his beloved. The breakdown was heartless and cruel, but fate played a bigger joke on him. He needs to ally Aliyah to stop a civil war in 2 kingdoms.
Aliyah is an ethereal beauty, cheers to her American female parent and Judardian begetter. She grew upwards in the palace, receiving every luxury, but at that place was trouble in paradise from well pregnant family and teachers. At seventeen, she decided to take control of her life. She fled home for America, launched a modeling career, and tried to go a handle on the problem placed on her by well meaning people. Success was at hand until her tragic breakup with Kamal and so life changed. Her once deep abiding dear morphed to hate...hot, numbing, blinding hate.
Now seven years later, she is once more someone'south pawn...two kingdoms, thousands of people, and tribes of the regions. She was not the niece of the king, she was his daughter. All she has to do is be Kamal's wife and his Queen.
A stay in Hell sounded better.
Tin can Kamal and Aliyah lay down their differences to proceed a region at peace? Does their beloved have a chance to survive, or will a loveless, detest-filled marriage and conceiving an heir be their but contact?
Rich description of the surroundings, buildings, and regions give this book a perfect background for this personal tug of war. The dialogue, feelings and thoughts puts the reader completely into the characters' lives. With each revelation of these personal thoughts and feelings, you lot proceeds a deeper insight into their complicated psyche. Passion between them steams from the pages.
I would highly recommend this volume and this series from Olivia Gates. Once again, she teleports the reader to another place and time.

Not one of my favorites of the series. Aliyah and Kamal were lovers seven years ago. At the time, she was withdrawing from a drug addiction caused past existence misdiagnosed with ADHD. Kamal believed her to be a drug addict. Since he couldn't deal with the ramifications of her habit, he decides to ruthlessly stop their relationship. This most destroys Aliyah. The story opens when they are now forced to ally for a strategic alliance between their ii countries.I struggled with the brutality of their severed relationship and the fact that Kamal could so hands accept lies about Aliyah. He struck me as a shallow person non willing to accept the responsibility to aid someone he loved. Consequently, I never felt that he deserved the happy ending.
Secondly, the writer went right into a sexual human relationship and focused mostly on the physical versus emotional side of their brotherhood. I couldn't believe or respect a heroine that would have sex after all the pain. It just cheapened everything making their bond experience sordid and shallow. Their professed love for each other didn't feel real. I wished the author had expended more than effort on showing u.s. how they got their relationship back on track exterior of the bedroom.
I would laissez passer on this one.
